Every kayaker needs to carry a first aid kit. The size and make up of the kit will be dependant on the type of trip and the individuals' role in the group. We have purchased many first aid kits over the years and have not been happy with most. Adventure Medical Kits has good quality kits to fit all needs and prices.
The Paddler is for paddlers doing a few day trip or for trip leaders doing day trips. Larger in size and more complete then the Ultra-Light Paddler. For expeditions, we also carry the Comprehensive Watersports first aid kit which is large and expensive, but has what is needed for wilderness trips.
Adventure Medical Kits says: Wilderness medicine goes beyond blisters and band aids. Our kits are designed with the wisdom and experience of Dr. Eric Weiss, an emergency department doctor who climbs, treks, kayaks, dives, and does the same things you do. Dr. Weiss is considered a leading authority on modern wilderness and outdoor medicine.
