Best known for the Eldridge Tide and Pilot book, but they also offer many other items, mostly for larger boats.
Eldridge has been our main source of tide and current information for the past fifteen years. This year we have also started to use a piece of software. Eldridge Tideware is now in version 4.0 but this is the first version under the Eldridge name. This program has many useful features and is priced at $119.00, making it reasonable for many paddlers to buy. Will it replace the paper version? Yes and no. We will continue to look up many of our trips using the paper version. These days all the tide and current information is available for free on the net. So why by a book or piece of software? Because of the added feature and ease of use that both the book and software has. Tideware comes with 50 current and tide charts that can be animated to show the tide and current movement. It is also much more visual than the book. Check out the web site and read about the many features. While this version is very good we will look forwards to version 6.
