From Route 84 in Connecticut

Exit onto Rt 684 heading south for 10 miles. Exit onto Rt 35 heading west. In about 5 miles you will get onto Rt 202. Continue on Rt 202 until you pass under the Taconic Parkway.

At the fourth light (just past a Dairy mart on the Left, and a bowling alley on the right), bear right onto the Bear Mountain Parkway. Continue approximately 6.7 miles to the second traffic light and turn right following signs for the Bear Mountain Bridge (Routes 6/202 West, Route 9 north). Cross Annsville Creek and take second exit in the traffic circle (signs for Bear Mountain Bridge, Routes 6/202 West). 100 feet from the traffic circle will be the entrance to the Paddlesport Center, on the left.

From NY State Thruway Exit 17

Heading South on the NY State Thruway take Exit 17 Newburgh keep right after paying the toll which will take you onto Rt. 300 for a few hundred feet then bear right onto Rt. 84 east to Exit 13(Route 9). Head south on Rt. 9 until you reach a traffic circle (approx 18 miles).

At the traffic circle take first exit (signs for Bear Mountain Bridge, Routes 6/202 West). The Paddlesport Center entrance is 100 feet from the traffic circle, on the left.

From NY State Thruway Exit 16

Heading North on the NY State Thruway take exit 16 Harriman. Keep right at the toll booth and exit just after the toll booth. A light will be at the end of the ramp where you turn left.  At the corner with the Home Depot sign on the right, turn left onto Route 6 East. Continue 3.2 miles and bear right keeping on Route 6. In about another 3.5 mile you will reach a traffic circle. Go 3/4 ways around the traffic circle, following signs for Route 6 East/Bear Mountain Bridge. Will reach the bridge at the 9 mile mark from when you got on Route 6. Follow the directions below.

From the Bear Mountain Bridge turn right after crossing the bridge and follow Rt. 6 east, down a winding hill, approximately 3.8 miles. At the bottom of the hill you will see water to your right. To your left, a WW2-vintage tank will mark the entrance to Camp Smith. The entrance to the Paddlesport Center will be on the right, less than half a mile past the entrance to Camp Smith.

Taconic Parkway from Southwest CT and N.Y. City

Take the Taconic Parkway north to the exit for Yorktown-Peekskill (Route 202). At the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto route 202 west, towards Peekskill. At the fourth light (just past a Dairy mart on the Left, and a bowling alley on the right), bear right onto onto the Bear Mountain Parkway. Continue approximately 3.8 miles to the second traffic light and turn right following signs for the Bear Mountain Bridge (Routes 6/202 West, Route 9 north). Cross Annsville Creek and take second exit in the traffic circle (signs for Bear Mountain Bridge, Routes 6/202 West). 100 feet from the traffic circle will be the entrance to the Paddlesport Center, on the left.

Note: The Taconic Parkway is most easily reached from Southwest CT by way of I-287 West and the Sprain Parkway North. From the West side of Manhattan, the Taconic is most easily reached via the Henry Hudson/Saw Mill Parkway.

Taconic Parkway North to Route 9

Alternative route from Southwest CT and N.Y.City: Take the Taconic Parkway north a short way to the second exit (Route 9A North). Follow Route 9A (which becomes Route 9 at Croton) for roughly 20 minutes to Peekskill. On your way, you'll see the Hudson River on your left as you pass Croton, and again as you reach Peekskill. At the traffic light in Peekskill, exit left toward the Bear Mountain Bridge (Routes 6/202 West). Cross Annsville Creek and go around the traffic circle toward the Bear Mountain Bridge. The entrance to the Center is 100 feet beyond the circle, on the left. Look for the blue building, pictured above.

Note: The Taconic Parkway is most easily reached from Southwest CT by way of I-287 West and the Sprain Parkway North. From the West side of Manhattan, the Taconic is most easily reached via the Henry Hudson/Saw Mill Parkway.

By Train

It is two Miles from the Peekskill Metro North Train Station to the Center. It is a $5.00 Taxi ride from the station to the Center.

From the Station heading north, turn right at the stop sign onto Hudson Street. Go under Route 9 and turn right onto the entrance ramp for Route 9. At the one-mile mark you will make a left at the light. Cross Annsville Creek and continue around the traffic circle to Route 6 (signs for Bear Mountain Bridge). 100 feet from the traffic circle will be the entrance to the Center on the left.
