The Capella 163 is for paddlers between 130-190 lb. It is more stable with good secondary stability. It turns easily so it needs skeg to go straight. A bit more speed than the 169. The higher deck requires attention to follow through on roll. Some custom foam will help the feel of the Capella 163. New style P&H Kayak design. Flatter keel, shallow V hull, hard edge with a soft chine. More even volume distribution throughout the hull. Efficient for the length of the boat. Skeg helps in windy conditions.
