This jacket is more breathable then Gore-tex, but not as waterproof. When the weather is warm breathability is more important then waterproofness. If the weather turns bad you always have your Storm Cag to put over this great jacket.

Rapidstyle says: A short sleeved version of our microvent paddling jacket. For 2001 we've eliminated seams at stress points under the arms for maximum life for the seam sealing tape. Jacket features our endless velcro adjustable neck and waist seals with velcro placement tabs for a bombproof seal for all sizes of paddlers. New molded rubber pull tabs for 2001 make opening the velcro closures a snap with cold fingers. Sleeves are finished with our heavyweight Second Skin cuffs. Chest pocket is angled and pushed up for easier access under a life jacket. Double stitched. Seams are sealed throughout.
