Everyone is looking for the perfect back band. This may be it for many kayakers. Three versions are available; whitewater, micro-whitewater, touring. Any of the three can be put into a touring or sea kayak depending on the size of the kayak. Well made and very adjustable.
North Shore says: An aching back is a common complaint of many kayakers. NSI's line of Anatomic Back Bands break new ground in the development of back bands. For the past 10 years, back bands have provided little or no positive contact or support to the lower back. Most curve out and away from the spine, making contact on either side of the spine but not the spine itself. NSI's revolutionary design changes this long lived trend.
All models have ratchet buckles with ladder straps which accommodate easy boat entry and are then tightened for supportive contact. Neoprene cover provides a durable and aesthetically pleasing look. NSI back bands easily attach to the boat seat mounting bolt for guaranteed secure installation.
The adjustable model adds the trick Lumbar Plunger for complete customizing of support and comfort. The plunger can be utilized for straight-on or angled, articulated back support. When the strap and cam buckle are engaged to the desired position, the lumbar plate moves and applies more positive contact to the lumbar region.
