Atlantic Kayak Tours is looking for an employee to work at our two Paddlesport Centers. Time will be split between both centers as needed.

The Norrie Paddlesport Center is located at Norrie State Park in Staatsburg, NY, in the Taconic State Park region.

The Annsville Creek Paddlesport Center is located in the Hudson Highlands State Park in Cortlandt Manor, NY.

Both Centers are open from about April to November. The Paddlesport Centers have retail sales of kayaks and accessories along with on-water tours, instructional programs, kayak rentals, and classroom educational programs. Atlantic Kayak Tours has an opening for a part or full time seasonal employee. This position can grow into a year round job.

Responsibilities

Duties include retail sales, inventory management, coordination of programs and working on some programs. This can include some tours and instructional programs for qualified applicants. As a small business there are many hats to be worn by everyone.

This position offers an opportunity for the right person to design the ideal job in a well established and dynamic paddlesport company.

Qualifications

Flexible schedule. Hard working. Kayaking and general outdoor experience.

Experience working in the outdoor industry a plus. Comfortable with and willing to learn more computer skills. We are willing to train any of the needed skill for the right person; forward thinker, creative, self motivated, team player.
